I've been thinking about that stupid saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." The funny thing is, life never gave us lemons. Humans created them. And after losing my friend on Friday, I couldn't give a damn about making lemonade. I've spent the weekend carrying on, keeping busy, doing what I do. But grief doesn't disappear just because you're distracted. There doesn't have to be a lesson in everything. There doesn't have to be some beautiful outcome waiting on the other side. Sometimes you lose someone who should still be here. And it just fucking hurts. 🖤
