@SafetyNet lean migration: Update 🗞️
✅ SafetyNetFunding has moved to its own lean node, safetynet-02 at @DesoHosting by @ryleesnet. Downtime was only a few minutes, even shorter than with SafetyNetValidator.
🌐 Both SafetyNet validators now run fully independent of DeSo core nodes: community peers and community checkpoint providers only. The two nodes also peer with each other.
🖥️ consensus.safetynet.social runs on the new node, and safetynet.social keeps serving @MyDeSoSpace
🛠️ In progress: our deso tools are moving to safetynet-02 as well: the status page (https://status.safetynet.social/status/deso), server monitoring, Buy DeSo https://buydeso.safetynet.social, and DesoMonitor @desomonitor , which keeps measuring DeSo node performance.
🔌 After validating all that, both old Hetzner servers go off asap
🎁 And some great news 🎉: @DesoHosting is hosting both SafetyNet nodes free of charge this year. A huge thank you to @ryleesnet for supporting independent validators. This is what a decentralized community looks like: builders helping builders.
